METHODOLOGIES

Suntron has entered into an aggressive business improvement initiative called Lean Sigma. Lean Sigma specialists oversee their designated site, lead Continuous Improvement, and report Best Practices through the corporate Lean Sigma Team and our interactive Lean Sigma Intranet web site.

Our Lean approach provides speed and flexibility using decisive tools and reinforces the process accuracy and repeatability by employing unique and successful Six Sigma techniques.

Suntron's integrated improvement program guarantees a consistent message to stakeholders in the value chain and aggressively focuses on business metrics, strives to eliminate waste and streamlines systems while retaining flexibility to fluctuations in volume and product mix.

The methodology is focused on Continuous Improvement, Customer Satisfaction and includes extensive Kaizen Blitzes, training and suggestion programs which allow all levels to evolve as valued contributors to our success.

Suntron has established a highly experienced corporate Lean Sigma team that provides 3000 plus hours of management training at each of our 7 facilities.

Additionally, the Lean team deployed a disciplined 5S program which improves workplace organization, builds employee pride and loyalty, and creates site space for expansion.

Each Suntron facility completed a current and future state map and four of 7 sites completed implementation of future state maps resulting in a 30-50 percent floor space reduction and a 60-70 percent reduction in manufacturing lead times. The delta between the two maps was captured by a series of action plans designed to make the future state a reality.

Suntron's methods create strong teams, accelerate improvements, and support positive change. Teams have necessary resources immediately available, and the bias is for action and creativity before capital. Our goal is to be the leader in our industry in Cost, Quality and Delivery.
